Role:

Design a work package to issued for construction status for simple to complex work projects, taking into account service requirements, existing service capacities and design for Constructability in the field of building services for hi-tech manufacturing facilities. Systems include HVAC, Domestic Water, Process Gases and Chemicals.

Dimensions

• Interface with key personnel, including but not limited to, Design Manager, Project Owner, Health and Safety Advisor, Project Manager and Construction Coordinator to ensure a team approach to the project
• Interface with equipment vendors to establish equipment service/space requirements and best practice
• Provide detailed mechanical design, design analysis and design drafting for the projects
• Interface with Electrical, Structural, Architectural and Process Engineers for design reviews.
• Schedule kick-off and design review meetings, informing all attendees of time and place.
• Conduct site-specific walk rounds to establish availability of services and ability to construct.
• Complete design risk assessment for all packages
• Create drawings for review and IFC using AutoCAD, in-line with the quality control system
• Specification and selection of parts and materials.
• Assist with procurement
• Respond to RFIs during the construction phase

• Heating
• Main Plant - Chillers and Boilers
• Process - Gas and Chemical

The successful candidate will be/possess the following:

• Degrees in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or related discipline
• Semiconductor Experience would be advantageous but not necessary.
• Demonstrable experience of the design of building services including but not limited to HVA, Chilled Water, Steam systems, Process cooling water and site wide piping systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Full working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Full working knowledge of Hevacomp Software
• Well developed communication skills both written and verbal
• Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
• Good time management
• Strong commitment to achieving specified goals
• Proactive approach to work
