puty Chief Planner ( Airport Infrastructure )

This is a significant career opportunity with the air transport division of a major consultancy within the area of infrastructure development.

The position is to provide direct support to the Chief Planner playing a significant role in the growth of the planning capability both in the UK and internationally . You will used to leading teams and developing staff and adept at bid preparation and winning work. The role will involve periodic UK and international travel , mostly short trips, on a wide variety and scale of projects.

The priorities of the role include:
* responsibility for delivery of projects covering master planning , airfield and terminal planning , financial assessments etc, through the supervision of project teams and leading analyses , preparation of technical notes and reports , preparation of planning options and identification of recommended solutions and presentation to clients

* best practice technical , organisational and people skills

* work winning through excellent client management

* delivery of a portfolio of projects as project director / manager depending on scale

* mentoring

* ensuring technical excellence through involvement at industry conferences and with academia

Skills / experience :

* extensive relevant experience

* extensive application of the principles contained within ICAO Annex 14, CAP 168 and other relevant ( eg FAA , IATA ) guidelines and practices

* a working knowledge of SIMMOD, TAM, ARCport and other simulation and modelling techniques

* knowledge of airport operations , business planning , management , finance and funding

* familiarity with regulatory processes
