| My client is a multi-regional Scaffolding firm who are currently looking for a number of scaffolders on a number of various projects ongoing in and around Scotland.
Peterhead & Surrounding Areas Aberdeen & Surrounding Areas Dundee & Surrounding Areas Edinburgh & Surrounding Areas Glasgow & Surrounding Areas Thurso & Surrounding Areas Inverness & Surrounding Areas Fort William & Surrounding Areas Dumfries & Surrounding Areas Stirling & Surrounding Areas
You role will be to put up and take down scaffolding bays. The works range from domestic households (often for re-roofing) through to large-scale commercial developments and the repair of historical monuments. You will work in a small team to strict safety standards. You will use a variety of hand tools and safety equipment to erect scaffolding, including swivel spanners, spirit-levels, harnesses and hoists.
On a typical job, your duties would include:
Unloading scaffolding equipment at the site Setting down base plates on the ground at regular intervals Putting up the scaffolding poles and fixing the horizontal tubes to them with couples Fixing the scaffolding to the building or structure to make it more stable, using short 'tie tubes' Laying planks across the scaffolding for workers to walk on Fixing guard rails and safety netting Taking down the scaffolding after a job is finished.
This is for an immediate start on an ongoing contract or permanent basis.
