| Purpose: To provide professional and efficient service for estimating, valuations and submissions to meet client requirements Dimensions:Responsible for various contracts within Mobile & Project Services & Specialist Services Principle Accountabilities: *Evaluate and submit estimates and tenders (lump sum and MTC) to meet client specifications in accordance with the contract and bid processes *Ensuring that all contracts within their scope achieve maximum potential *Ensuring that contractual risks are reduced to a minimum by the detailed inspection of client requirements and contracts *Assessing client specification, identifying and detailing special requirements *Assist in the periodic reviews of contracts *Compile and co-ordinate financial aspect of documentation which is associated with the winning and development of accounts *Be responsible for all administration and reporting records both electronic and manual in support of the estimation function and prepare and issue in a timely manner, management and progress reports based on all activities which form part of the business development remit for which you are responsible *Co-ordinate and assist sales presentations *Structure and format common bid responses and maintain records and structure bid opportunities *Carry out audits as instructed and report back results *Complete all QA forms as detailed in the IMS *Update Commercial Manager at regular intervals on contract financial performance *Maintain client liaison with regard to Commercial/QS matters *Oversee IO's and monitoring/report on GM each months *Attend meetings on an as and when required basis for Commercial and Business Development *Liaising with Project Managers *Negotiate, agree and submit evaluations, interims and final accounts *Maintain analytical data for management and clients *Carry out any other ad hoc functions within skills level Qualifications and Experience: *At least 5 years experience within a similar role *HNC or equivalent in a building service discipline *Knowledge of commercial systems and their implementation *Good IT skills including word, excel, estimation and databases *Excellent communication skills to ensure a good relationship with the client *Valid full driving licence Other factors: *Car allocated *Requirement for UK wide travel *Self motivated team player to have a flexible/adaptable approach | ||
