| My client has a high reputation for innovation in civil engineering. Founded in the 1950s, they have expertise in developing highways, building infrastructure, providing waste management and remediation services, devising coastal and flood protection, road construction and managing complex logistics for renewable energy. No job is too complex: from extinguishing a fire in a coal tip to resurfacing a racetrack to world-class superbike standards,there experts can design, manage and carry out the work to fulfil your contract. They also have a surfacing division, and there own quarry and plant hire division. Historically, many of there contracts have been located in North Wales and the North West. As the company expands, a greater proportion of there work is being won and carried out across the rest of the UK, making my client a significant nationwide civil engineering company and civil engineering contractors. Your role will involve visiting sites to log orders & deliveries, check information logged against supplier invoices, approve supplier invoices for payment, liaise with suppliers to obtain credit notes and proof of deliveries. You will have to ensure sites produce accurate purchase/hire orders, balance produce end of month cost reports. Also you will have to keep accurate cost information and produce ad hoc site cost reports. You have to possess a high level GCSE pass in mathematics. Some purchase ledger type experience would be an advantage, as well as basic understanding of costs & invoices. You will have some previous experience within a site based construction environment. You must work to timetables and deadlines. | ||
