| | The Ardmore Group, which includes Ardmore Construction, Paddington Construction, BCL Rail Services, BCL Plant and BCP (British Contractors Plant Limited, established 1938 - an Approved Specialist Railway Engineering Company 1st to have equipment specially 'Road-Railed'), has been developed over the last 30 years by brothers Cormac and Patrick Byrne. The Group operates throughout the UK and Ireland with the Head Office at Enfield in North London and regional offices in East London, Docklands, Heathrow, Birmingham, Newport, Glasgow and Dublin.
The Group enjoys a steadily growing turnover which is currently in the region of £400+ million and offers it's Clients a level of service rarely found in today's construction industry, as a result of the direct employment of some 2000 trained operatives.
In association with this in-house labour resource, the Group has other tangible assets which directly compliment the services provided to Clients; namely its own workshops for joinery, metalwork and paint spraying, together with an extensive fleet with an asset base in excess of £35 million.
All of these in-house resources provide the Group with the capability to be self-sufficient, thereby providing a far greater flexibility of service to Clients than is available with most main contractors in the market place today. The workload undertaken by the Group is diverse, with a wide range of project types including residential, leisure, hotels, retail, fit out, industrial, transport, substructure, RC frames, general builder, logistics and external works with values varying considerably from £500,000 to £40 million.
The synergy of resources allows the Group to work in many guises, including design and build contractor, traditional main contractor, trade contractor and domestic sub contractor. Whilst able to act as a 'turnkey' contractor, the Group can equally perform as shell and core contractor or even single trade contractor, for example as a specialist RC frame external works contractor.
The Group has considerable in-house expertise available for its Client's beneficial use, including project planning, safety management, safety training, estimation and technical support services. In-house design managers, together with retained design staff for architecture, structural engineering, mechanical and electrical services and temporary works, provide the full design service to develop the Client's brief from concept to completed project.
The Group ethos is to fully understand the Client's requirements, then safely deliver the project to budget, on programme and within quality constraints. The Group is confident that given early involvement in any project, it can always provide a value engineered solution, on time. | |
